In 1998, the Danish haute couture designer Jørgen Simonen headhunted for the job as the new head designer for fashion house Versace after the founder Gianni Versace’s tragic death. During the initial interviews presented Jørgen Simonsen collection “Iskrystalprinsessen” which he had made with cross-fertilization between the Greenlandic Inuit culture – particularly the national costume – and biker culture. It fell on good soil and the collection was direct herald Atelier Versace’s first Haute Couture collection after the founder’s death.  Read more: Nordens Institut i Grønland

Equinox continues its “Commit to Something” campaign by once again enlisting photog Steven Klein to capture the fitness brand’s mantra. This year, the theme evolved to center around the idea that what someone commits to defines who they are, and it dares viewers “to take stance and look inward, even if doing so makes you a little bit uncomfortable,” said Carlos Becil, EVP and CMO at Equinox, in a press release.
