Saks Fifth Avenue has combined the creative genius of Tim Burton and Marc Jacobs for a series of window installations at its flagship and a few locations nationwide. Each window combines Jacobs’ Fall/Winter 2016 collection (for which Burton’s aesthetic provided inspo) with looks from the director’s film Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, including film props, costumes, and art, while footage and pictures from the film served as the backdrop.
Jacobs is also in the midst of another collab with the retailer: he created capsule collection of 10 signed one-of-a-kind denim jackets. The jackets come in white, black, or blue, and are embellished with chains, pins, embroidery and appliqué. Saks is also offering an exclusive customizable denim jacket program, which retail for $495. “In celebration of our new Marc Jacobs boutique at our Fifth Avenue flagship, we asked Marc to create a denim jacket capsule collection exclusively for Saks,” Roopal Patel, fashion director at Saks, told us. “He personally designed and customized 10 unique denim jacket styles, each with charms, patches and whimsical embroideries. There are mermaids, fun pins and sequins truly making each piece a collector’s item.” Outerwear for all!
