Beauty Sleep VS Sweets-salonwithoutwalls

Don’t Sabotage Your Sleep With Sugary Snacks. Avoid sweets, chocolates, juices or sweet drinks, especially at night! “Sugar, among other things, upsets the body chemistry and may impair sleep,” Zeroual said. “It causes your blood sugar to increase and then decrease rapidly as your body releases hormones to bring the levels under control,” she continued. This is what may cause you to toss and turn or to get up hungry in the middle of the night…

…It’s probably one of the most important secrets to healthy, glowing skin and most of us aren’t doing enough of it — sleep!

Sleep is simply one of the best beauty treatment that exists! There is no skincare or cosmetic beauty regimen out there that provides the same rejuvenating and radiance-boosting benefits of a good night’s rest.

Take it from health coaches Michele Periquet & Firouze Zeroual. Not only does sleep have tons of health benefits, but it makes the idea of ‘beauty sleep’ a true and all-natural way to look your very best.

In the digital age of the world wide web, social media, and insane schedules, we are all getting more insomnia than we are actual sleep. But there are things we can do to reboot and get that much-needed rest.

To welcome the weekend, check out a few of these super simple tips for enjoying deep, restful sleep.

Time Your Meals Properly. A diet that keeps a timely schedule is key. “Eat dinner at least three hours before bedtime,” Periquet explained. “Eating late may leave food undigested in the stomach which interferes with sleep,” she warned.

Always Try To Maintain A Schedule. The key to good sleep is to be consistent. Try to get to bed and wake up at the same time daily as often as you can. Periquet and Zeroual say our bodies function best on a regular schedule.

Avoid Fake Energy. Whatever you consume, avoid stimulants, especially in the evening. “Stimulants such as coffee, caffeinated tea, soft drinks, chocolate and sugar in any form provide a short-lived, ‘fake’ burst of energy, but you end up feeling more tired afterwards,” the pros concurred.
