Gisele Bündchen is so connected to her beachy bombshell blowout that it’s hard to imagine her with her signature hair any other way, but because models are chameleons, too, her latest campaign swaps her signature style for a shaggy blonde makeover that pays homage to a cinema icon. Bündchen’s latest campaign is for designer Stefano Pilati’s collection for Zara, which channels his “own distinct sense of style as both an individual and a designer,” according to a press release from the retailer.
From 2004 through 2012, Pilati was the head designer of Yves Saint Laurent and in 2023, he was tapped by Kim Jones and Silvia Venturini Fendi for a special collection for Fendi. For the Zara partnership, he enlisted Bündchen to channel Monica Vitti, known as the Queen of Italian Cinema and a winner of the Venice Film Festival’s Career Golden Lion Award.
Vitti was also known for her shaggy blonde bob, which Bündchen adopted for the shoot, which showed off Pilati’s tailoring, dramatic eveningwear, and all-black accessories. The model posed alongside the designer in appropriately cinematic black-and-white photos that showed off the blonde transformation.
In addition to returning to the world of fashion, the supermodel and mother—she shares son Benjamin, 14, and daughter Vivian, 11, with ex-husband Tom Brady—recently celebrated the release of her cookbook, Nourish: Simple Recipes to Empower Your Body and Feed Your Soul.
“I’m literally touching it—I can’t believe it,” she shared on Instagram after the book’s debut. “Of all of the things I’ve done, it’s completely different.”
