Gucci: Proposing a contemporary take on vintage inspirations, La Veste arrives on Vault. For this exclusive capsule collection, designers Blanca Miró and Maria de la Orden have re-editioned a number of their signature styles with playful twists and vibrant injections of colors. Gingham checks, squiggle-bordered pockets and Peter Pan collars mix together into the exuberant elegance that La Veste is known for.

La Veste

Spanish stylist Blanca Miro and designer Maria de la Orden joined forces in 2018 to create the Barcelona-based label La Veste. Known for their signature blazers (La Veste is in fact French for blazer), this collection expands their vintage inspired aesthetic, playfully juxtaposing different textures and colors. From pastel cottons, wools and toweling to candy-pink faux fur, rose-gold vinyl and black polyester, vivid and harmonious combinations abound. Color blocks, gingham, puffed sleeves, tight cuffs, scallop collars, accent pockets, distinctive linings and exaggerated buttons all create a fresh, optimistic and rebellious prairie-girl chic that has an uplifting sense of fun and freedom.

The Collections

This exclusive capsule for Vault sees La Veste re-edition a number of their iconic styles with playful twists and a vibrant injection of color. Candy pink bomber jackets with faux fur collars work with green gingham pants. Lemon yellow and forest green pleated skirts with oversized buttons pair with fuchsia and pea-green crop tops, while toweling kimonos in reds and greens are layered with colorful edged gilets. School shirts with embroidered scallop collars come in a variety of pastel shades, whilst the gingham suit, Señorita black vinyl coat, polka dot blazer and delicately stripped Peter Pan collar jacket with bright red buttons bring a mischievous elegance to this joyously exuberant cottagecore aesthetic.
