Vogue Italia’s September Issue Cover

by | Sep 1, 2021 | Beauty, Fashion

“For his #VogueItalia’s September Issue cover we asked @Michelangelo_Pistoletto, the Maestro of Arte Povera, to create a today version of “Venus of Rags”, a timeless statement of rebirth, as well as a key piece of Italian art memory” say Emanuele Farneti (@EFarneti) and @FerdinandoVerderi, Editor-in-Chief and Creative Director of Vogue Italia.

“The Venus of Rags is an interactive work in the sense that it is activated by the public who produce rags while consuming fashion. The always naked Venus represents everyone who dresses and undresses, increasing the pile of waste garments. Venus is memory, while the rags are the continuous passing of things.” says Pistoletto.
